Even at her sickest, Juana Hernandez believed in helping her family and community. With her donor's kidney, she has much more energy to continue serving those around her.
Sara began at Donate Life Northwest as Coordinator of Volunteers in August of 2007 after returning to Portland from 3 years in Panama with the Peace Corps where she worked as a Regional Volunteer Coordinator. Sara has now transitioned from her role managing volunteers to managing finances and operations. Sara is a native Oregonian and Lewis & Clark grad with a BA in Biology. She enjoys mushroom hunting and exploring Oregon's outdoors in her free time with her husband, son and cattle dog mix.
