Mary Jane Hunt

Mary Jane has 37 years of nonprofit experience with 27 at Donate Life Northwest. Her responsibilities include administration, board development, legislative affairs, media relations, fund development and planning.  

As a native Oregonian, Mary Jane lives in Wilsonville with her husband and has two sons. She enjoys gardening and has a passion for golf.

Judith Trujillo

Program Director Judith Trujillo is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of all Donate Life Northwest educational programs and the donor registry in Oregon and SW Washington. 

Judith has 18 years of experience in non-profit management and degrees in secondary education, medical technology, and business administration.  She lives in Gresham and enjoys music, theater, reading, gardening and travel.

Valerie Egan

Valerie oversees Donate Life Northwest's Student, Teacher and Hispanic outreach programs.  A former classroom teacher and school administrator, Valerie oversees the daily and strategic administration of programs and initiatives for youth, high school educators, universities, and driver’s ed. 

Fluent in French and proficient in Spanish, she works with Hispanic Outreach volunteers and interns to provide culturally-sensitive education about donation and transplantation issues.  An accomplished artist, Valerie loves cooking, graphic design, biking and travel.  

Carole Genz-Mould

Carole acts as the liasion for Student, Community and Hispanic Outreach programs in Central Oregon, and supports the outreach work of local Ambassadors.  Carole went to school at the University of Washington enough times to become a nurse, a master's prepared educator and then a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.  After over 30 years of being a fixer and a caregiver she retired with her husband to La Pine, Oregon in November 2012.  She has joined Donate Life Northwest to continue to serve the health of her community.

Sara started at Donate Life Northwest as Coordinator of Volunteers in August of 2007.  She returned to her hometown of Portland in June of ’07 after three years in Panama with the Peace Corps where she worked as a Sustainable Agriculture volunteer as well as a Regional Volunteer Coordinator. 

After a year as Coordinator of Volunteers, Sara moved into the position of “Finance and Special Programs Coordinator” and is utilizing her small business bookkeeping skills.  She is excited to expand her scope of financial knowledge to encompass the nonprofit sector.  She also works on our Hispanic Outreach Program as well as our Website and Newsletters.

Anna Pappert

Anna has been with Donate Life Northwest since 2011. She started as the Administrative Assistant and Social Media Coordinator, where she enjoyed reaching out to the online community with Donate Life Northwest’s life saving message and educating the public about organ, eye, and tissue donation. As Development Coordinator, Anna is excited to support Donate Life Northwest and its mission through fundraising and coordinating special events like the Golf Tournament and Lifesavers Breakfast.

Anna studied Philosophy at the University of Florida and Colorado State University. She enjoys cooking, bike riding, road trips, and exploring Oregon.

Sara Patinkin

As Development Director, Sara is responsible for contributor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, event planning, and public relations.  Prior to Donate Life Northwest, Sara earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from Portland State University.  Sara has over five years of non-profit development experience and is a board member of the Willamette Valley Development Officers.  She enjoys playing with her son and husband, hiking, wine tasting and reading.

Sue Scott

Sue lives in Springfield with her husband of many years, and is the mother of four grown children and grandmother to two girls.  Sue is the regional liasion for Student, Community and Hispanic Outreach programs in the Willamette Valley; she also works to faciliatate local Ambassadors in their efforts to raise donation awareness.  Sue writes:  "I am pleased to count myself among the dedicated staff and volunteers of Donate Life Northwest who are changing the world. My sister-in-law Celia is living a healthy and active life because of her donated kidney. She never forgets this precious gift of life. Nor do I."

Patri Ann Thompson

Patri joined the Donate Life Northwest team as the Community Engagement Coordinator in September of 2012. She oversees community outreach activities and events, and volunteer recruitment and training. She moved to the Portland area in 2008 and began volunteering at local non-profits nearly immediately in an effort to meet people and explore career paths. After a short time, she realized that she loved volunteer management and set her sights on steps to make that goal a reality.  Her background includes work as a college instructor, a web content manager, a researcher and an event coordinator.

Outside of her passion for volunteerism, you might find Patri at home, taking on a home improvement project or gardening. She also enjoys reading, writing letters that she actually mails via the Post Office, knitting, and napping.
