Gather for Good
Who: Calling all Friends of Donate Life Northwest to host a Gather for Good party to celebrate Donate Life Northwest's 35th Anniversary of promoting organ, eye and tissue donation.
What: Gather for Good is a new initiative inviting supporters of Donate Life Northwest to host fundraising gatherings in their homes, neighborhoods or communities. As you plan your celebration consider a way to include Donate Life Northwest in your festivities.
A gathering can be anything from a book club meeting, Winter Olympics watching party, a cocktail party, dinner party, poker night or a local restaurant promotion!
When: February 1-December 31, 2010
Where: At a location of your choice.
Goal: We’re hoping for 10 events around Oregon and SW Washington, and the money will support our education and outreach programs to promote people registering as organ, eye and tissue donors. We hope Gather for Good will raise $5,000 in its first year.
Why: Proceeds from these fundraisers will support our education and outreach programs.
How: We can provide a variety of resources to help you share Donate Life Northwest’s message such as fact sheets, signage, donation/transplant stories and even a DVD which highlights the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. We can also list events and promotions (public or private) on our website calendar of Gather for Good Events.
Calendar of Events
February 7, 2010: Super Bowl Party-Enter a Super Bowl pool and winner splits half the proceeds with Donate Life Northwest. Private event.
February 12 - 28, 2010: Winter Olympics Party-Place your bets for country to win the most gold, silver and bronze metals and winner donates proceeds to Donate Life Northwest. Private event.
March 4, 2010: CAbi Party-View the Spring 2010 collection of Cabi clothing. A percent of revenue from purchased clothing will be donated to Donate Life Northwest. Private event.
March 7, 2010: Basement Warming Party-Come see and party in Sara's newly remodeled basement. Snacks and beverages provided. Make a contribution to Donate Life Northwest. Private event.
April 2010: Transplant Anniversary Party-Celebrate the 4th anniversary of Rob's liver transplant and make financial contributions in his honor. Private event.
June 21, 2010: First Day of Summer - Dine at Chevys Fresh Mex in Hillsboro on the first day of summer. Remember to bring this fundraising flyer and Chevys will donate 25% of your meal proceeds to Donate Life Northwest.
July 2, 2010: REPO: The Genetic Opera-Come to Clinton Street Theater in Portland to watch REPO; The Genetic Opera. Participate in the donor drive and silent auction to support Donate Life Northwest. Open to public.
July 4, 2010: 4th of July Party-Celebrate the 4th and watch the fireworks on the river in Bend. Make a contribution to support Donate Life Northwest. Private event.
September 1, 2010: Dining to Give-Enjoy a four course email at Oregon Culinary Institute for $30 and 40% of proceeds will go to Donate Life Northwest. Seating is limited. Download flyer. RSVP to attend.
