PORTLAND / VANCOUVER AREA

Donate Life Northwest's 15th Annual Golf Tournament at Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club – Aloha
Tuesday, August 12th – 11:30am -7:00pm

My list of folks who have expressed interest in volunteering for this event has grown, but I still need more volunteers on Aug 12th! From registering participants to greeting golfers on the green to staffing the “Hole in One” or “Tiger Woods Hole”- we have many volunteer opportunities available for this exciting and fun event. Responsibilities range in time commitment from two hours to all day. Give me a call or shoot me an email if you are interested in getting involved. As we get closer to the date I will get you more information and specific details for the event.

Kiwanis Club of Portland – Benson Hotel
Wednesday, August 13th – 12pm-1:15pm

We’ve been invited to be the guest presenters at this Kiwanis Club. I need a Speaker to come and share their story with the group as well as talk about and answer questions on donation and transplantation. You will have about 25min total and lunch will be provided.

BEND AREA

An Daire School Feis Irish Dance Competition at Kenwood Elementary< School – Bend
Saturday, August 9th – 10am-4pm

We have been invited to have an info table and Donor Designation Station at this competition. Several people involved in this Dance Academy have a personal connection to donation. We have been selected as a charity of choice for one of the trophy dances. We need volunteers to help staff an information table and quilt display. Let me know if you are interested.

EUGENE AREA

Lane Memorial Blood Blank - U of O Blood Drive at the E.M.U. – Eugene
Thursday, August 7th – 1pm-4pm

This will be a relatively small and short blood drive compared to others we’ve done this year, but none the less important. Lane Memorial Blood Bank has been an outstanding community partner and we’d like to keep that relationship going strong. I need one or two volunteers that can staff an information table and talk to blood donors about organ, eye and tissue donation.
