Each month Donate Life Northwest highlights a volunteer who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. We invite you to read about our most recent stellar volunteer below.

Many of you may have had the pleasure of hearing double cornea recipient, Lynda Myers, share her story at the Portland and Salem Donate Life Month celebrations. Lynda’s ability to share her personal transplant story in an educational, inspiring and tangible way has earned her April’s Star of the Month honor.
Lynda is a strong member of our Speakers Bureau team and she is always anxious and eager to present. During Donate Life Month she was able to touch many with her story. Thank you, Lynda, for being such a valuable advocate for our mission and for always have Donate Life Northwest’s best interest in mind. She is even recruiting new volunteers!

In celebration of Donate Life Month, Virginia Rice organized a Gather for Good dance party at U of O. The party was a huge success and promoted organ, eye and tissue donation to our 15-29 year old target audience. At the end of the night, the party registered 262 donors and raised $926.25 to support Donate Life Northwest’s programs!
Virginia’s enthusiasm is inspiring and Donate Life Northwest is so grateful to have her on our volunteer team. Thank you Virginia, for all you do for Donate Life Northwest.
