Teresa was in her late 30s when she received the diagnosis for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy that had taken the life of her brother. Thanks to the cardiology team at Cedars-Sinai and a donor named Jennie, Teresa lives a life of active gratitude.
Jackie Wirz, PhD
Jackie is a scientist by training, an educator at heart, and an innovative leader by profession. Her research career spanned 15 years. After completing her PhD, she transitioned into a career in education at Oregon Health & Science University. Most recently, she served as the executive director at Saturday Academy, a STEM education nonprofit. Using her collaborative and strategic skills, Jackie helps connect people and ideas to create meaningful change. She looks forward to learning and growing with the Donate Life Northwest community.
Jackie is an avid reader who collects different editions of her favorite book, Jane Eyre. She believes that coffee is happiness and would love to meet with community members for a cup anytime.
