Teresa was in her late 30s when she received the diagnosis for the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy that had taken the life of her brother. Thanks to the cardiology team at Cedars-Sinai and a donor named Jennie, Teresa lives a life of active gratitude.
Sandy is a native Oregonian and Portlander. Most recently she worked in STEAM program management at Saturday Academy and OMSI as well as spending many years in local classrooms as a formal and informal educator. Sandy holds an M. Ed. and also a Masters in Professional and Technical Writing from PSU. She likes to call herself a lifelong learner and is passionate about promoting DLNW’s mission and vision through education outreach.
When not working, Sandy can be found hanging out with her family and feline companions, patio gardening, curled up with a good book, or finding the best local eats & coffee. She generally enjoys just being outside and exploring all the PNW and beyond has to offer.
