Frankie Redding Jr., a longtime powerhouse in the Portland blues and funk scene as part of the Norman Sylvester Band, and a kidney recipient, passed away recently. Frankie's living donor has organized a celebration of life event open to the public that will honor Frankie's life and career, and feature a performance by the Norman Sylvester Band.
DLNW will be tabling at the event to raise awareness about life-saving donations, which helped make Frankie's life possible.
