Bilingual Portland Quilt Workshop 2020

La colcha conmemorativa “Hilos de Vida” está dedicada a la memoria de aquellos que dieron el regalo de la vida, la vista y la movilidad. También celebran la vida de los receptores de trasplantes y ofrecen esperanza a quienes esperan el trasplante. Cada edredón se compone de cuadrados diseñados individualmente creados por miembros de la comunidad tocados por donación de órganos, ojos y tejidos.

Los edredones no solo son un tributo hermoso e inspirador, sino que también sirven como un testimonio que invita a la reflexión sobre el hecho de que la donación y el trasplante de órganos, ojos y tejidos transforman vidas.

Si está interesado en hacer una cuadro, únase a nosotros en este taller. Tendremos todas las herramientas y accesorios que necesitan para crear un cuadrado. El taller también brindará una buena oportunidad para conectarse con otras personas en su comunidad a quienes la donaciones y trasplantes les han afectado la vida. También tendremos bocadillos

The Threads of Life Quilts are dedicated to the memory of those who gave the gift of life, sight and mobility. They also celebrate the lives of transplant recipients and offer hope to those awaiting transplant.  Each quilt is comprised of individually-designed squares created by community members touched by organ, eye, and tissue donation.

The quilts are not only a beautiful and inspiring tribute, but also serve as a thought-provoking testament to the fact that organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation transform lives.

If you are interested in making a quilt square join us at this workshop! We will have all of the tools and supplies that you need to create a square, in addition to quilters there to help you design your square. The workshop will also provide a good chance to connect with others in your communtiy who have had their lives touched by donation and transplantation. We'll also have snacks!
