NEW Virtual DLNW Storyteller Training

Do you have a donation or transplant story you are eager to tell? Did you know that telling that story can make a huge impact on Oregon high school students learning the facts about organ, eye, and tissue donation and why it is so important? If you said yes, then this volunteer opportunity is for you!

Donate Life Northwest is developing a new role for our volunteers: the storyteller. Our storyteller volunteers will share their experiences in-person or virtually with students across the state, while leaving the educational presentation to the classroom teacher.

To take part in this training volunteers must have:

• taken the Virtual Donate Life 101: New Volunteer Ambassador Orientation
• completed both Volunteer and Confidentiality waivers

Once registered you will need to do a little homework to before this training! You will recieve a link to watch the virtual DLNW 201 Storytelling Workshop and the companion worksheet to complete prior to the training. This will help you prepare to practice your story with others.

This training is dedicated to expanding the skills and knowledge of our Ambassadors.  This training is free and open to our volunteers living in Oregon and SW Washington who are donor family members, transplant recipients, living donors, transplant professionals, and those on the waiting list.
