Ambassadors
Because our volunteers often work independently, with support and resources provided by Donate Life Northwest, we call our volunteers "Ambassadors."
More than 200 Ambassadors from across Oregon and SW Washington support the Donate Life Northwest mission in many ways. Our Ambassadors are the greatest asset we have in promoting organ, eye and tissue donation to the 300,000 individuals we reach each year.
Last year our Ambassadors collectively gave 3,669 hours. With their time and support, Donate Life Northwest was able to present to 261 classrooms, staff 118 information tables, and participate in 75 community events.
Who are our Ambassadors?: The majority of Donate Life Northwest Ambassadors are personally connected to our mission and donation/transplantation. However, anyone who supports our mission and chooses to spread the word about the donor registry and donation/transplantation is welcome to learn more about becoming an Ambassador for Donate Life Northwest.

Where our Ambassadors live and volunteer: Our Ambassadors live all across Oregon and SW Washington. Many of our activities, including the Ambassador Networking Night, occur in the Portland Metro Area. We reach out to other cities throughout Oregon, including Bend and Eugene, with coordinated efforts and we provide information on how all of our supporters and Ambassadors, regardless of geographic location, can share the Donate Life mission within their own communities.
How to be an Ambassador: The first step to becoming an Ambassador is to join us at an Ambassador Networking Night, held five times a year. If you are unable to come to a Networking Night, but still want to learn about how to raise awareness about donation and transplantation in your community, fill out the on-line form to received an email copy of our Ambassador Manual and some sample Ambassador-led Activity ideas to get you started.
