3 Simple Steps That You Can Take to Make Sure That SB751 is Successful

1) FIND OUT WHO YOUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE: Don't know who your representatives are? Thet easy, just CLICK HERE. Enter in your home address to find both of your state legislator’s (your State Senator and your State Representative) web page for their mailing address and contact information. If they offer one, sign-up for their e-newsletter. E-newsletters are great for finding out what issues they are focusing on and when & where their next in-district meeting is.

2) EMAIL & CALL THEM: Legislators and their staff get a lot of email each and every day. Make sure to be clear, concise, and short if possible. Things to focus on in your email:

- Your name and that you are a constituent that lives in their district.
- Your connection to donation & transplantation. Share your personal story to the mission.
- Let them know that an established fund will empower fellow Oregonians to make a big difference in the lives of those waiting for transplants as well as their families
- Ask them if they will support SB751

3) THANK THEM IN A NOTE: Thank them for taking the time to answer you by mailing them a hand-written 'Thank You' note. If they express support for your efforts, be especially grateful. Maybe ask what further work you can do to get SB751 passed.

That's it! Now give yourself a pat on the back. In these three simple steps, your state legislators and their staff have now heard from you in three different ways and recorded each time they heard from you. At the end of the day, that adds up and help push us closer to the finish line.
