Make LIFE Possible This Donate Life Month!

April is National Donate Life Month, a 30-day celebration of local, regional, and national activities to help encourage individuals to register as organ, eye and tissue donors.  Here at Donate Life Northwest we have a number of ways you can participate and make LIFE possible!  Here are some of the exciting things we’re working on!

  • Oregon Governor Kate Brown has issued a proclamation marking April 1st as Donate Life Northwest Day!
  • We are hosting two “Threads of Life” quilt unveilings -- one on April 10 in Medford (RSVP) and another on April 23 in Salem (RSVP).
  • The Morrison Bridge in Portland will be lit in blue and green to celebrate donation on Tuesday evening, April 12!

Celebrate Blue and Green Day on Friday April 15, when the public is encouraged to wear blue and green, all in an effort to spread awareness about donation.  As an added bonus, if you submit a photo of your blue and green flair to Donate Life America’s Facebook page, you could win a $100 Amazon Gift Card!  For more ways to participate, visit www.donatelife.net/blue-green-day.

For more information on volunteer opportunities and other ways you can get involved, visit www.donatelifenw.org/calendar and be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! Whatever you do, remember to always encourage others to make LIFE possible by registering as organ, eye and tissue donors!  We wish you a happy National Donate Life Month.  Thank you for your efforts in educating and registering others as organ, eye and tissue donors!
