On Saturday, April 27, 2019, Donate Life Northwest unveiled their 21st Threads of Life Quilt to raise awareness for organ donations. Heart transplant recipients, Cindy McIntyre and Phil Weitz of Hermiston, Ore. were on hand to share their stories.

In 2012, Phil Weitz had a heart attack. After several months of complications, Weitz went on the waiting list for a heart. Since his transplant, Weitz has devoted his time to informing others and encouraging them to become organ donors.

The public is invited to an event that celebrates lives through by organ donation and transplant -- the Threads of Life quilt unveiling. The event also serves as a way to raise awareness about the critical need for organ donors.
