Creative Expression: Community Projects
Our community is built on the stories of donors, recipients, and their families. While our traditional Threads of Life Quilt remains a cornerstone of how we honor these lives, we have expanded our horizons to include new ways of sharing.

Current Project: Threads of Life Quilt
Status: Submissions Open!
The Threads of Life Quilts are now being created every few years. The next quilt will be created in 2028 and unveiled in April 2028. Submissions are now open.
Past Community Highlights
Recipes
In 2026, we honored our loved ones through recipes. Whether it's the secret ingredient for a recipient's Sunday sauce, or the specific recipe for a donor's favorite cake, every recipe tells a story. Learn more about our recipe project here.
Poetry
In 2025, we hosted a poetry contest, and turned the submissions into a beautiful book of poetry. You can read the winning pieces, look through the other submissions, or request a hard copy of the poetry book here.
Art
In 2024, we hosted an art contest. You can view the photos of the art, as well as request notecards with the winning pieces, by visiting our art contest page here.
