Classroom Presentation Request

Donate Life Northwest, in collaboration with Cascade Life Alliance, provides multiple ways educators can bring thoughtful, culturally-sensitive, and factual education on organ, eye, and tissue donation in a manner that engages and inspires students.

Educators can choose from in-person, virtual, or Teach-It-Yourself presentations.

• Teach-It-Yourself: To help us reach all health classes in the Oregon and meet the new health education standard (HS.WHP.6), we have developed a robust Teach-It-Yourself program. These Teach-It-Yourself resources provide everything you need to confidently deliver this important health lesson, including presentation slides, videos, activities, handouts, and plenty of training and support resources. We also have a variety of resources allowing you to customize the class content and activities to fit you and your students' needs, including requesting a Storyteller Volunteer to share their personal donation or transplantation story with your students. Storyteller Volunteers require 15-20 minutes of time per class to be requested.
• In-person or virtual presentations: For non-health classes in Oregon (health careers, biology, anatomy, driver education, etc.) or for any classes in SW Washington (Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, and Walla Walla Counties) that fall outside of Oregon's health education requirement, guest-speaker-led full presentations can still be requested. These presentations can happen either virtually or in-person, and are based on speaker availability.
