Donate Life Northwest's Zoo Stroll

Join us for something new this summer at the Oregon Zoo! Come out for a family-friendly day celebrating the gifts of life, sight, and health while supporting our life-saving and life-changing programs.

Schedule (subject to change)

7:00AM-7:30AM: Check In
7:00AM- 7:45AM: Mosey on down to the Amphitheater to mingle with your Donate Life Northwest Community! Be sure to check out our community partner tables, too!
7:45AM: Welcome and Short Program
8:00AM-8:45AM: Zoo Stroll! (An accessible, .77 mile route)
When you're done with your stroll, you can grab snacks, drinks, and mix and mingle with our community back in the Amphitheater
9:30AM: DLNW Zoo Stroll ends
At 9:00AM, the Zoo opens to the public, and you are free to head home or spend more time in the Zoo! If you do leave the premises, be sure to get a hand stamp to return later in the day.

Registration

In an effort to make the event accessible to all, we're using a sliding scale registration fee. If these registration fees are prohibitive, please contact us at info@donatelifenw.org or 503-494-7888.

  • Adult Discounted Ticket: $10
  • Adult Standard Ticket: $15
  • Adult Pay-it-Forward Ticket: $20
  • Kids Age 2-12: $5
  • Kids 0-1: FREE

Please Note:

  • ALL TICKETS include access to the Oregon Zoo for the day (July 18) once our event ends
  • ADULT TICKET attendees will receive a Donate Life Northwest SWAG Item (trucker hat or belt bag; while supplies last)
  • Parking is NOT included with admission
  • Members of the Oregon Zoo will still need to purchase a ticket for the Zoo Stroll, as Zoo Membership does NOT allow for entry into private events.

Registration is now open! Register Here. Please note that online registration closes Tuesday, July 14 at 11:30pm (or when we hit our event max). After this date, you are still welcome to come and register on-site, provided we have not hit our event maximum capacity.

Getting There

The Oregon Zoo is located in Washington Park at 4001 SW Canyon Road, Portland, OR 97221

The Zoo is easily accessible by car or public transportation. MAX Red Line or Blue Line trains stop at the underground Washington Park station with elevators that take you within a few steps of the Zoo entrance. Click here for more details.

If driving and parking:
The Oregon Zoo parking meters start at 9:00AM. Attendees staying after 9:00AM will need to plug their own meters if they are planning to stay longer.

At pay stations:

  • Note your license plate number
  • Visit a nearby pay station
  • Pay using coins, VISA, MasterCard, or American Express

OR with the Parking Kitty App:

  • Note your license plate number
  • Download the mobile app or call (503) 278-5748
  • Zones vary by location

Respecting the Oregon Zoo Rules:

The Oregon Zoo does not allow balloons, balls, frisbees, or anything meant to be thrown or might land in the animal habitat. All noisemakers that can disrupt the sleep patterns of the animals, such as air horns, whistles, clappers, clackers, and cowbells, are strictly prohibited.
