National Donate Life Month

Every April, we celebrate National Donate Life Month to honor those who have saved lives through the gifts of organ, eye, and tissue donation. It's also a fantastic time to raise awareness about the importance of donation and transplantation. This year's theme is focused on stars. Stars remind us that even in the darkest night, there is light.

Events

Art Contest Workshop: Painting: April 13
We will be hosting a painting workshop for those who want to participate in our Art Contest. The first workshop will be on Saturday, April 13 at Bottle & Bottega in Portland. Registration for this event is closed.

Eastern Oregon Happy Hour: April 16
DLNW is on the road again! Join us for a community mixer at Final Cut Pizza and Pub in La Grande from 5:30pm-7:00pm. Find more information and RSVP here.

Donate Life Month Pub Night: April 25
Pop into Radio Room in Portland between 5:00pm and 7:00pm and celebrate Donate Life Month with us! Grab a drink and chat with other members of the Donate Life community. Find more information and RSVP here.

Lighting of the Morrison Bridge: April 8
In honor of the 8 lives one donor can save through organ donation, the Morrison Bridge in Portland will be lit up in blue & green on April 8. Special thanks to our partners at Cascade Life Alliance.

Organ, Eye, Tissue Donor Appreciation Week: April 8-12
In the State of Oregon, the second week of April is designated as Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donor Appreciation Week! We will highlight donor stories on our social media, and if you are the family or friend of a SuperStar organ, eye, and/or tissue donor, we'd love to have you share their story here.
